Welcome! I'm Diego Galvez!

I'm a mathematician, an educator, and a software developer. I was born and raised in Lima, Peru. When I was a teenager, I moved to California and enrolled at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, where I tutored math and physics to a lot of students. I then transferred to UC Berkeley, where I graduated as a mathematician. I also tutored and conducted math workshops at Berkeley in my time there. I continued my studies at Cal Poly Pomona, where I got my Master's in math. I also was a math instructor at Pomona for two terms. I got my Master's with the plan of becoming a full-time math professor, but then found very interesting math careers in the casino industry, so I moved to Las Vegas, NV to work as a gaming mathematician for Konami. In 2020, I found a similar job but this time for Take-Two in Austin, TX, where I lived for about a year. I now live in Bastrop, TX, still working for Take-Two, but remotely. When I'm not thinking about math or coding I like to watch soccer, anime, or play video games.
